My passion for
gaming lies in the actual construction of playable worlds. Creating a fun
and immersive environment for the player is what I enjoy the most. There
is nothing more rewarding than someone telling you how much fun they
had while playing your level or how they will always remember a specific
scripted event that happened while playing it.
In 2003,
I graduated from Amherst College with a BA in Computer Science. In 2004, I
enrolled in the Level Design curriculum at the
Guildhall at Southern Methodist University.
It's been a real privilege to learn from industry
professionals here at the Guildhall who have
devoted their time to teach the students all they know: from
art/level/programming design to the game industry and how it works.
Recently, I was the Game Designer of our five-month project,
Eclipse - a total conversion of Valve's Half Life 2.
I graduated from the
Guildhall on June 18, 2005 with a professional certification in level design.
